However, the Gotham Academy Detective Club was there to stop him. If he succeeded, he would be free of Batman, and the battle that turned Powers into Blight would never have occurred. Assuming the guise of a professor at Gotham Academy, Blight began searching for a young Warren McGinnis, intending to kill the boy and remove him from ever being a threat to Blight in the future.
